Introducing Bill Burke, Chief Operations Officer

Join us in welcoming Bill Burke, the newest member of MDE’s administrative team. His business background, heart, and passion for God’s glory among the nations uniquely fit him for this position. 

   In Bill’s diverse professional career, he has started and operated three administrative and software businesses, was a partner at Ernst & Young, and served as the executive pastor of a large church in the Boston area. In addition, he’s led short-term mission trips and facilitated missions work through his church.

   In the marketplace, Bill had numerous opportunities to be part of what God was doing. These often came through relational connections with coworkers, answering their questions of why he chose to live life in a radically different way. He believes that God loves “doing things well.” As believers, we are invited to do even mundane tasks beautifully well in ways that reflect the Creator and bring Him glory.

   While living in Indianapolis, Bill and his family attended Faith Church (an MDE partner church) and participated in Global Leadership Summits. This greatly influenced his understanding of how he might use his God-given business expertise to bring excellence and growth to Kingdom organizations.

   Bill’s passion is to build a sustainable and scalable operational environment that supports the great people, mission, and growth of MDE without getting in the way. Bill and his wife, Terri, have five grandchildren. He’s an avid runner, biker and boater, and an elder in his local church.
