Jill, her business advisor (called a BAM Team Manager) with MDE, said of Rosie, “She is a warrior,” and explained that Rosie started her BAM (Business as Mission) journey because of a calling, not because of any business expertise. Help for the Vulnerable

We soon learned that human trafficking is a symptom of a broken society. Preventing it would require igniting change in multiple areas simultaneously. This understanding eventually led us to start a nonprofit, Good Bureau, focused on investing in young Romanian change-makers. These leaders would then bring change in their chosen spheres: job creation, working with broken families, providing housing. In reducing vulnerabilities, they could help combat human trafficking.

Committed to Authenticity

As an organization, MDE is committed to authenticity. We strive to fulfill the promises we make to both our volunteers and our members. That means we are careful not to over-promise. We would prefer to over-deliver. Some blue suits were never made to help you fly.

Christmas Around the World of MDE

Our vision is to see thousands of mature Christ-followers taking
the presence and message of Christ to the millions who have little to no hope of experiencing God’s love or hearing truth in their communities.

We hope you enjoy this glimpse into the lives of our MDE members and how they celebrate Christmas.

From Start to Finish

Our introduction to MDE came at a time when we really needed support. I was reaching out to the children in our community and my husband was starting a manufacturing business. Our mission organization allowed us to be seconded to MDE, and MDE helped us walk through the legal hoops of starting both a nonprofit organization and a business overseas. They encouraged us each step of the way and never made us feel like what we were doing was a “bad idea.”
